Frisco ISD 2007 Student Diversity
Recently someone asked me how we are going to
prepare for diversity. First of all, with 59 native languages represented in the district and our current ethnicity breakout (shown below) I think that we are probably already more diverse than most people realize. Nevertheless, it is clear that our district has been changing over the last ten years and we need to continue to adapt to these changes.

But my overall philosophy remains the same. We must focus on every individual student. If our percentage of At-Risk students increases as an example, then more of the budget will need to be allocated to help those students. Please keep in mind that it is
not the role of the board to get involved in day-to-day operations or the creation of specific curriculum. We have a great group of senior professionals and I have confidence in their abilities.
