Frisco ISD CTE Center - Opening in 2008

Our citizens and our school district has long recognized the need for Career & Technical Education in Frisco ISD. It is an exciting time where we have finally reached a size, and have the financial resources, to build a true Career & Technical Education Center.

Career pathways are the same as the centers or academies within the CTE Center. We are currently in the process of getting business sponsors for each of those pathways and it is my goal and the goal of our district that every Career Pathway has a Business Sponsor. We are also working with Collin College on joint programs. It was not an accident that the CTE Center is located adjacent to the Frisco Collin College Campus.

March 28, 2008 Update

Enrollment is still continuing for secondary campuses as well as the Career and Technical Education Center. According to Dr. Wes Cunningham, we have 927 students who will be taking at least one class at the CTE beginning in August. There will also be students taking CTE classes at their home high school campus.
